About

Carolyn Corkindale

After 20 years as a researcher at Flinders University, Carolyn made a bold move in ‘retirement’ and completed the Advanced Diploma in Screen and Media Production (MAPS) in 2015.

Since then, she has created, directed and produced more than eight short scripted films. In 2018 she wrote, directed and produced The Silent Song (a family drama set against the Vietnam War protests),  Future Harvest, a horror film about the extreme consequences of climate change and The Fork in the Road, a time-slip fantasy. Her films have been consistently awarded on the short film festival circuit.

Carolyn moved into the documentary genre with The Magic of Auchendarroch with Christine Belford and together with her created What Are We Fighting For? that premiered at the Adelaide Film Festival. She has also produced two web series on cooking for The Bake Club, which have been broadcast on Channels 44 and 31. She has recently completed a new feature documentary about dancer-sculptor Guy Detot, Let it Dance.

Carolyn is currently the Director of the Fleurieu Film Festival in SA.
